Most New Jersey court records are public per the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA). As such, they may be accessed by members of the public upon request.

Note: The court clerks are typically the first point of call as they are the custodians of New Jersey court records.

Yes, Atlantic County court records are public records. Per the New Jersey Open Public Records Act (OPRA), anyone may request and inspect copies of Atlantic court records regardless of their citizenship status. However, the Act also exempts some court records from public disclosure to preserve the safety of the record holder. Some examples of exempted records may include:

Atlantic County court records are managed by the County Clerk. Therefore, all requests for court records should be forwarded to them as they are responsible for handling them.
